Bullying

Things like teasing, threatening, hurting someone or spreading rumours – are all forms of bullying and can make you feel very unhappy.

Being bullied can make you feel horrible inside and as if there is something wrong with you. It is VERY important that you talk to someone you can trust. If no-one knows, no-one can help you.

Here are some things you can do to help:

  • Try not to be on your own, stay with other people
  • Write a diary of the bullying and show it to a trusted adult
  • Tell your friends or an adult
  • Keep asking for help until things are sorted out

Think about who you would feel comfortable talking to. Is it a teacher? Parent? Uncle or friend? If you can't find someone close to you to talk to, try calling a helpline like Childline on 0800 1111
