The Pickhaver family from Kent have been raising awareness and funds for YoungMinds since the loss of their son and brother Joe, who took his own life on 10th December 2016, aged 16, after a long struggle with mental illness.

The family launched a JustGiving page in Joe’s memory and since have raised over £43,000 for YoungMinds - an incredible amount that will help us to continue with our vital work championing the wellbeing and mental health of children and young people.

Everyone at YoungMinds cannot thank the family enough for their kindness, we are truly grateful for their support.

Joe’s father Chris has created a short book of photographs in his son’s memory. Partly as a thank you to all the people who helped them during Joe’s illness and since his death, and partly to raise awareness and more funds for the YoungMinds trust.

Images and text from the book have been viewed over 1.2 million times in the last month.

An online version of the book is here: www.cfriel.com/joebook
