They trained, they ran, they conquered
This last weekend was the Virgin London Marathon and honestly our runners rocked! We just wanted to give a massive shout out and thank you to our amazing runners, their families and supporters and our team of volunteers.
So far, they have raised over an amazing £14,500 and you can still show your support for them by donating via their fundraising pages which are listed below and see photos from the day here.

Thank you to Dan Reed who ran the London Marathon for the first time with a finish time of 04:11:04. You should be really proud! His determination has been inspiring. You can still sponsor him here
Thank you to Lucy Hemmings who is another first-timer running the London Marathon. This has been a childhood dream of Lucy’s to run the marathon and we are so happy she chose to raise money for YoungMinds. Her finish time was 06:19:47. Go Lucy! You can still give over on her page here
Thank you to Christina Baker-Finch who ran hard with a brilliant finish time of 03:56:55. She has been so passionate about our work and raising the flag of awareness for mental health. Keep it up, Christina! Her page is also still open for donations here
Thank you to Patrick Earls who ran the marathon in an awesome 03:31:56. Well done, Patrick - this from the man who said 'he doesn't like jogging'. Thank you for staying motivated and doing it. Go over to his page to donate here
Thank you to Ian Barnard another first time runner. He got involved because CapGen has chosen to support YoungMinds and he wanted to help raise funds and awareness. Thank you, Ian. He completed the race in a cool 04:23:01. Amazing. You can give over on his page here
A big thank you to Stephen Sandford who made it past the finish line in 04: 36:32 - and thank you for pushing past the pain of the 20-mile hump! You can donate and congratulate him over on his page here
Thank you Makka, aka Paul Makowski, who at 03:01:57 was the quickest of our lovely bunch over the finish line. He was hoping for a sub-3hr time but we think he should be mightily proud of his awesome achievement. Thank you - and congratulations on your new baby girl! Go on over to his page and donate here.
