4 Goes Mad - the launch event
Last night saw the launch of the Channel 4 series of progammes around mental health '4 Goes Mad'. The programmes start on Monday 23rd July at 10pm on Channel 4 with 'Ruby Wax's Mad Confessions'.
The launch event last night featured Ruby Wax performing a section of her stand-up show that focuses on mental health. Ruby made the point that the brain was one of the most complicated and precious 'bits of meat' on the planet but was also the thing people got least sympathy for when it went wrong.

The event also featured a panel chaired by Channel 4 News' Jon Snow that discussed ‘To disclose or not to disclose in the workplace: whose business is mental illness?’. The panel featured Ruby Wax, Sue Baker Time to Change's Director, Kevan Jones MP and Dr Paul Litchfield BT's Chief Medical Officer.

At the end of the night Channel 4 became the first national broadcaster to sign the Time To Change pledge.
