Help from GP

Do I have to go to the GP to get help?

Your GP is the first point of contact and can help you to access a service that is right for your child through the NHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) or through a private organisation.

There are many independent services such as local or national voluntary sector support organisations that can help. Yes, these can be accessed without going to your GP.

If you would like to talk through your options, or get support and advice in accessing services please call the Parents Information Service.
