Payroll giving
If you’re in employment, payroll giving is the simplest and most tax effective way to donate regularly to YoungMinds. Donations are taken directly through your payroll before tax, meaning that it costs less to give more!
Example of how it works
| Your Pledge to YoungMinds | Actual Cost to You (at 22% tax) |
Actual Cost to You (at 40% tax) |

|---|---|---|---|
| £5 | £3.90 | £3 | £5 |
| £10 | £7.80 | £6 | £10 |
| £20 | £15.60 | £12 | £20 |
You can give as much or as little as you like through payroll giving. Even a small regular donation over a year enables us to improve the emotional well being of children and young people with mental health difficulties.
How can I donate through my pay?
It’s simple to set up a payroll giving donation, just complete a pledge form (see below) and we’ll take care of the rest. If you’d like to find out more, our payroll giving leaflet contains more information (see below).
Your employer and payroll giving
Ask your payroll department if they run a payroll giving scheme, and if not, suggest they start one as its easy and inexpensive to run. YoungMinds is happy to assist any company wishing to establish a payroll giving scheme for their employees to support charitable causes, just email us for more information.
