Health

It is easy – and often fun – to get carried away with drugs and alcohol and it can become a problem without you even realising this is happening.

And although self-harm is different it, too, can be an addictive behaviour which may seriously damage your health.

All these things mean that some young people end up in hospital. It is important to realise that overdoing alcohol, drugs and self-harm can be the sign of an underlying mental health problem, so recognising what you are doing is the first step towards figuring out how serious it may be. Next you can choose what to do and who you might go to for help.
