‘Get help now’ section. Freephone 24 hours 0800 1111
Childline is the UK’s free helpline for children and young people. It provides confidential telephone counselling service for any child with a problem. It comforts, advises and protects.

Free, confidential telephone and email helpline finding young people the best help whatever the problem. Provides free connections to local or national services, and can text information to callers’ mobile phones.

A national membership organisation for youth information, advice and counselling agencies. Provides information on youth agencies to children aged 11-25 and their carers but does not provide direct advice.
Need help section. Freephone 0800 77 66 00 (24 hour service, free if call from a landline and won’t show up on the phone bill, provides translation for non-English speakers)
Confidential information and advice for anyone concerned about their own or someone else’s drug or solvent misuse.
FYP – For young people section. Youthline 0845 634 7650 (Mon – Fri 4.30 – 8.30pm & Sat 1-4.30pm)
Provides information, help and support for anyone affected by eating disorders.
Helpline 0208 896 3675 (Monday & Thurs 6.30-9.30pm)
A confidential helpline run by young people for young people up to 19 years of age who need emotional support.
Provides on-screen advice about eg. Bullying, school, drugs, and difficulties at home. For advice you can also send an e-letter to Sam, their agony aunt. If you’d prefer a confidential private session, you can talk 1-2-1 in ‘real time’ with an NSPCC adviser, or email for a reply within 24 hours.
Help for children & teenagers
The NSPCC Child Protection Helpline Freephone is 0808 800 5000 (24 hours) and offers child protection helpline for any child or adult concerned about a child at risk of neglect, sexual, emotional or physical abuse. NSPCC works in partnership with childline.
