Working environment

We are currently working with a hybrid working model, where there is the option of working from home combined with 4-12 days a month of working in the office.

About this role

At YoungMinds, we are leading the fight to make sure that all young people can get the mental health support they need, when they need it, no matter what. We are looking for a People and Culture Manager to help us to achieve our ambitions.

YoungMinds is going through an exciting time of organisation and people expansion; you will help to support this transition by providing comprehensive human resources support to the organisation.

You’re well versed in the intersection of people and culture. Working specifically within a designated client group, you will support managers and colleagues by helping them to perform well in their roles and to contribute to YoungMinds’ culture of care and anti-racism, justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (AJEDI).

You’ll have proven experience in a HR function alongside a solid understanding of employment legislation and employee relations, together with an enthusiastic and flexible approach to work, good interpersonal skills and a genuine passion to make a difference.

As a trusted advisor to the organisation, you will collaborate with managers to ensure YoungMinds HR best practice is embedded across the organisation, in alignment with our cultural and strategic ambitions.

About you

The successful candidate will:

  • have proven experience of successful HR delivery and management
  • have experience of managing employee relations cases, some of which are complex
  • demonstrate experience of coaching line managers
  • be organised with a high level of attention to detail
  • be aware of safer recruitment principles and practice
  • have up to date knowledge of UK employment law

This post is offered as a 12 month fixed term contract covering maternity leave.

We welcome applications from Black and Minoritised and LGBTQ+ groups as they are currently under-represented. For more information about the role, download the job pack.

This post is available as either a full time role (35 hours) or part time at 21 hours per week.
