Abigail started her third sector career providing housing related support to people living with HIV. Since then, Abigail has worked at a senior level across the sector developing and leading vital services for adults and their children with support needs – including award winning projects.
For the past year, Abigail has been the interim CEO at the specialist national domestic abuse charity, Refuge supporting women and children to live free from domestic abuse, driving policy change and leading the organisation through financial sustainability.
Previously Abigail was Director of Service Delivery leading Refuge’s operational services including the National Domestic Abuse Helpline, safe accommodation, tech safety and community support services. Abigail has also held leadership positions supporting survivors of modern slavery, people with mental health needs as well as roles in local government.
Abigail is a charity trustee and holds an MSc in Business Psychology and qualifications in Programme Management.
