Wear yellow on 10 October and donate to YoungMinds this World Mental Health Day.

Together we can create a brighter future for young people's mental health.

#HelloYellow is back!

And it's never been more important.

Last year #HelloYellow was a record-breaker - it was our brightest year yet! But this year a different, more concerning record has been broken. According to the latest NHS figures, 420,000 young people are now being treated for mental health problems every month. That's more young people than ever before seeking support - and most aren’t getting the help they need.

This needs to change. With your support, it can.

This World Mental Health Day, thousands across the country are coming together to say #HelloYellow. Join us on 10 October to show young people that how they feel matters, and help us create a future where all young people get the mental health support they need, when they need it, no matter what.

To take part, simply wear yellow, donate what you can to YoungMinds, and post a photo on social media.

What does it mean to take part in #HelloYellow?

  • It was the first time we took part and it was an amazing day. There was such a lovely atmosphere around school and the children had fun but also understood the reason why we were wearing yellow.

  • Thank you for creating these resources. As a school, one child in particular used these learning activities as an opportunity to voice their anxieties. This may otherwise have gone unspoken, we are so grateful for the resources you offered.

  • Staff were really proud of what they achieved and were also able to open up and discuss some of their fears.

  • Children are open and honest. Now we have supported this event for a few years the older children are expanding in their prior knowledge of the events showing more awareness each time.
