#HelloYellow

Wear yellow and donate £2 to YoungMinds this World Mental Health Day.

Because a little yellow goes a long way.

Join thousands of schools, offices and communities on Friday, 8 October by taking part in #HelloYellow and raising vital funds to support our work. Dig out your neon socks, custard scarf and banana hat - let's show young people they're not alone with their mental health!

We all struggle with how we're feeling sometimes and it's normal to have ups and downs.

This year might have felt a little more down than up. But it's the little things that have got us through it - the morning walks, singing in the shower, the perfect cuppa, that Netflix show that got us all buzzing, the bestie who makes you LOL, the teacher who has your back.

Saying #HelloYellow this World Mental Health Day is a little thing we can do to make a BIG difference to young people's mental health.

Because a little yellow goes a long way.

FAQs for #HelloYellow

If you signed up and requested a postal pack by 16 September, you will receive your classroom pack in the post week commencing 27 September. Unfortunately if you signed up after 16 September, we will not have enough time to send your pack in the post, however all of the resources are available to download digitally here.

Our fundraising packs are specifically designed for primary and secondary schools, so unfortunately we are not able to post packs to individuals or other groups. However, our #HelloYellow resources hub has plenty of free, downloadable materials to support your fundraising, from posters to bunting, so please do take a look.

Unfortunately, due to the high volume of #HelloYellow supporters taking part in this event every year, we are unable to send out any additional resources or promotional materials. However, our #HelloYellow resources hub has plenty of free, downloadable materials to support your fundraising, from posters to photobooth props, so please do take a look.

Thank you so much for thinking of inviting us to take part in #HelloYellow at your school. Unfortunately, we would not be able to accept your kind offer as we receive so many requests and simply do not have the resources or capacity to attend. However, you can find powerpoint slides for a #HelloYellow assembly on our resources hub.

Our social media team try to keep posts on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram channels related to mental health tips and information. Due to the large scale of our #HelloYellow campaign, we are therefore unfortunately unable to promote fundraising events.

We would love for you to let everyone know about your fundraising though, so please do get posting about it on social media! Tag us @YoungMindsUK.

For schools

We know the mental health and wellbeing of your students is incredibly important to you. We also know that this year has been a stressful time and teachers are juggling a lot right now.

That’s why we’re sending every teacher their very own fundraising pack for their class. Your pack will contain bite-size mental health and wellbeing activities, stickers and other resources to make the day as special as possible.

You, your colleagues and your students have so much to be proud of. Come together and celebrate the little things we can do to look after ourselves and support each other's mental health.
