Campaigns Officer

Young people’s mental health is one of the most urgent issues facing the UK today. At YoungMinds, we are leading the fight to make sure that all young people can get the mental health support they need, when they need it, no matter what. We are looking for a Campaigns Officer to help us achieve this.

We are currently working with a hybrid working model, where there is the option of working from home combined with 4-12 days a month of working in the office.

About this role

It is an exciting time to join the team as we are in the midst of delivering a campaign calling for reform to the exam system, and will be developing new campaigns over the next year to achieve much needed change for young people and their mental health. We need someone to join our External Affairs and Research team to support in mobilising people in the fight for young people’s mental health, bringing drive, creativity and hope that better is possible.  

You’ll be working to mobilise supporters, amplify young people’s voices, and influence decision-makers. We are looking for someone who is creative, organised and who can communicate with impact, both verbally and written.

About you

This role will suit someone who is looking to develop their campaigning skills across the board, as there will be opportunities to hone digital tactics, work directly with young activists in developing campaigns, and write compelling campaign copy.  

You will be shortlisted on: 

  • Your experience creating change 
  • Your experience engaging people with lived experience 
  • Your experience and skill using digital tools and campaigning software 
  • Your copywriting ability
