Our vision
-
A world where no young person feels alone with their mental health.
We want to see a world where every young person who is struggling feels able to reach out, and has people and services around them who can really help.
YoungMinds are looking for a new, dynamic and inspirational leader - if this is you, we'd love to hear from you!
At YoungMinds, we believe passionately that no young person should reach a crisis point with their mental health. We are seeking an inspirational, collaborative and inclusive leader to help us deliver our mission: for all young people to get the mental health support they need, when they need it, no matter what.
You’d be joining an ambitious, quickly-growing, modern charity at a time when record numbers of young people are being referred for mental health support. Whether through our support for parents and professionals, our digital advice and information for young people, or our youth-led campaigning, there has never been a more critical time for us to be having a big impact.

Â
We are looking for someone with a commitment to embed anti-racism, justice, equity, diversity and inclusion at the heart of our organisation. You’ll have what it takes to build on our successes and work alongside young people to lead our charity, sustainably, through a period of growth. You’ll be a naturally strong and influential communicator and relationship builder, as comfortable leading a workshop with young people as you are meeting a Minister or funder, or engaging with our Board.
We are moving towards becoming a data-driven, digital-era organisation, so you will be a leader with keen digital insight who knows how to deliver high-quality digital services and can spot opportunities for innovation. You will work hard to make sure young people’s voices are driving the decisions we make and the work we do and you will have the skills to engage and inspire a passionate, cause-led workforce with sensitivity and kindness.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
We are committed to ensuring that we better represent the young people who need us most at all levels within the organisation, and actively encourage applications from Black and minoritised applicants.
Â
One of our values is: “We celebrate what makes you you – whoever you are, we welcome you and encourage you to be true to yourself”.Â
If you are excited about helping us to achieve our mission, passionate about working at an organisation that puts the lived experience of young people at the heart of everything we do and want to be part of our drive to become a truly anti-racist organisation, we want to hear from you.
If you would like to apply for this post, please do so via the Starfish website.
You’ll be part of a passionate, hardworking team that cares about the work they do, and you’ll be part of making a real difference to the lives of children and young people. In addition to becoming part of the YoungMinds team, you’ll get:
